Guests (people from the Diocese who want to stop into convention to see what's going on) - are invited to attend the keynote session titled "Radical Hospitality" and also the Convention Eucharist at no fee. They will not need to register for Convention and will not be receiving any information.

The 136th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan will take place April 23-24, 2010 at the Park Place Hotel in Traverse City, MI.

With the intention of being environmentally sound, you can now find everything for Convention in electronic format on our webpage.  The entire Convention site (Park Place Hotel in Traverse City) has free wi-fi (internet access).

The Rev. Peter Rood Keynote Speaker, The Rev. Peter Rood

Our Keynote Speaker this year will be The Rev. Peter Rood, rector of the Church of the Holy Nativity in Los Angeles and co-founder of Environmental Changemakers, a grass-roots group dedicated to sustainable living. He is also co-author of Environmental Change-Making: How To Cultivate Lasting Change in Your Community (Cathedral Center Press 2008).

  

  


  

Birds of a Feather - Friday evening discussions

On Friday evening there will be open table discussion. If you have a topic you'd like to discuss, you will be able to post that suggestion by the registration table. All attendees can sign up to join the discussion that most interests them, and if there are at least two people signed up, a table will be set up on Friday evening at 8:00pm for people to meet with their "Birds of a Feather" for discussion & fellowship.

    

  

   

  

    

Registration & Payment

Registrations and payment are due March 1.

How do I register?
A separate form must be filled out for each person (spouses must register individually).
To register you must fill out the form completely.
Before you hit "submit": If you would like to keep this for your records follow the instructions at the bottom of the form.
Hit the "submit" button (if you do not hit the "submit" button, your work will be lost).
    

  

  
How do I pay?

Convention registration is $50 for delegates, alternates and clergy; $20 for visitors and spouses. The meal plan is $40.
All payments are due March 1 (after this date there will be a $10 late fee)
You will not be officially registered until payment is received. Parish delegates, alternates & parish clergy are to pay as a unit and send in one check. Guests and people not associated with a parish will be paying individually.
