Health, Vision and Dental Insurance
for
Active Employees
in the
Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan
INSURANCE NOTES:
Open Enrollment
The Diocese continues to offer health, vision and dental insurance coverage with the Episcopal Church Medical Trust (ECMT), a division of the Church Pension Group (CPG) for active clergy and lay employees in the Diocese. In 2009 we added two additional medical plans and one additional dental plan for you and your parish to choose from. In 2010 we added the HDHP/HSA plan.
A new employee must be enrolled in the health and dental insurance plans within 30 days of the hire date.
Please remember that according to Diocesan Canon 8, Section 3(c) of the Diocese of Western Michigan, "each congregation that provides employee health insurance shall provide that coverage through the organization providing coverage to Diocesan employees." If you are not enrolled in the Diocesan Plan, please contact Tammy Mazure at the Diocesan Center to receive information.
Each year there will be an Open Enrollment time period during which you can make changes to your coverage.
You may make changes with your coverage during the year if you have a significant life change (ie, birth, marriage, divorce, loss of other coverage, etc.). To make changes after the Open Enrollment time period, please contact the Diocesan Benefit Administrator, Tammy Mazure.
