Episcopal Youth Camp

Diocese of Western Michigan

The Episcopal Youth Camp is a decades-long program sponsored by the Diocese of Western Michigan.  A number of our clergy, diocesan staff, and adult laity speak of the camp as being a vital part of their formation as they were growing up.

Our practice has always been to rent space for weeks during the summer.  Our current site is Camp Newaygo, in Newaygo, MI.
	Our summer offices are at the Episcopal Center in Kalamazoo, MI. Genevieve Callard, Assistant to the Bishop for Children, Youth and Young Adult Ministries, and Christine Tillman, Bishop's Deacon for Children and Youth Ministries, head up the staff for the summer camp.  Our staff is made up of clergy and laity of the Diocese who volunteer a week or two of their summer.  These people are wonderful!

Lord, we pray for our Episcopal Youth Camp. Pray that the Holy Spirit may be present to those who plan camp. We pray for the youth who plan to attend camp especially____________and we give thanks for those who give their time as counselors especially_______________.
