Leadership at the Episcopal Youth Camp
The Episcopal Youth Camp is a decades-long program sponsored by the Diocese of Western Michigan. A number of our clergy, diocesan staff, and adult laity speak of the camp as being a vital part of their formation as they were growing up. Youth have the opportunity for many different leadership programs at camp, and young adults are encouraged to apply to serve as cabin counselors.

Opportunities
While the one week of CITs (open to people ages 16-17 & 18 years old not out of high school) will still take place as normal. It will be during middle school camp and there will be the opportunity for a few of 17 & 18 year old CITs to stay the next week & serve in a cabin. Click here for more information
This will be open to people ages 13-16, and will take place during Junior Camp. During Junior Camp, we will also have a few select 17 and 18 year old CITs (Counselors in Training) who will be in the cabins (along with 2 adult counselors). Click here for more information
All cabin counselors are at least age 18 and out of high school (those serving with high school students at least 3 years older than the oldest camper, or 21), but we do have counselors in their 70s, and the majority are parent-age. Click here for more information
We have at least one nurse (or health professional) full time at every week at camp - some weeks we have two. These are the people who take care of our scrapes & bumps, and hand out medication. But that's only part of their job. Most of the time they just get to experience camp - be with the campers & staff during activities, meal time and worship. Click here for more information
There are so many gifted and talented people in our pews, but many of them cannot (or don't want to) take a week off to live with children for an entire week. I understand that! So we do have "day helpers" (formerly known as "day staff"). We always need people! Click here to see how you can help
