Pray for the campers and staff before they leave
O Lord, you who called the children to yourself
Be with us as we prepare for camp this year.
We ask that you bless all those who following in your steps,
Give themselves in service to these children.
Give the camp staff grace and wisdom to create a formative Christian community
and to see others in your spirit of love.
Pour your blessings upon the families and children of this diocese as they prepare for this adventure in discipleship.
Teach us in all things we do to give glory and honor to your creation
and most of all to you our Creator and Redeemer.
Thank you for in your presence we are truly blessed!

Directions to & information on Camp Newaygo (the site we rent)

Mail is distributed to the cabins and given out there. Any snacks that are sent to or brought to camp are shared with the entire community. We are trying to help the campers eat healthy food, so please refrain from sending too much candy and junk food. Please do what you can to send a letter or post card!

Address mail to: (Camper’s Name) EYC - Camp Newaygo P.O. Box 610 Newaygo, MI 49337 |
Sunday 4:00pm
We cannot receive campers before that time
After you register, you and your child will visit one of the health officers where all medications are handed in. You will also be able to meet your son’s or daughter’s cabin counselors. All snacks must be handed into the cabin counselor & kept in a sealed box in the lodge – we like to keep raccoons & skunks OUTSIDE of the cabins.
Swimming tests occur right after your camper checks in – pack swim suit, cover up & towel on the top.

Saturday 11:00am
All campers must be checked out by 11:45pm
If your child needs to leave before that, you must alert the camp director during check-in.
Each camper must be signed out.
Each year we've had an outreach project for camp. For the past few years we've asked campers to bring something that will then be given to people in need. This year our outreach project is Peace. Please collect pennies to bring to camp to support our peace program.

We invite you to serve for a day or two if you are not able to serve for an entire week, but would like to be at camp. Please remember to fill out the “day staff application,” as we want to follow all state laws and know who is working with our children.
